1.The data controller is the natural or legal person, public authority, service, or other body that, individually or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data and is responsible for data security.
2.With regard to this website, the data controller is: Hotels Gest Italia SPA, and for any clarification or exercise of users' rights, they can be contacted via the following email: privacy@aggroupitaly.it.
1.The use of cookies complies with European regulations (Directive 2009/136/EC, which amended Directive 2002/58/EC "E-Privacy") and national regulations (Decision of the Italian Data Protection Authority dated May 8, 2014, and subsequent clarifications, as well as the Cookie Guidelines and Other Tracking Tools of June 10, 2021, No. 231).
1.The AG Group website uses cookies to make the user's browsing experience easier and more intuitive: cookies are small text files used to store certain information that may relate to the user, their preferences, or their device used to access the Internet (computer, tablet, or mobile phone). Cookies are mainly used to adapt the site’s operation to the user's expectations, offering a more personalized browsing experience and remembering previous choices.
2.A cookie consists of a small set of data transferred to the user's browser by a web server and can only be read by the server that performed the transfer. It is not executable code and does not transmit viruses.
3.Cookies do not record any personal information, and any identifiable data will not be stored. If desired, users can prevent the saving of some or all cookies. However, in this case, the use of the website and the services offered may be compromised. To proceed without modifying cookie-related options, simply continue browsing.
4.This website may use, either individually or in combination, the following types of cookies classified according to the guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority and the opinions issued by the European Working Group under Art. 29 of the GDPR:
- Session cookies: These are not stored persistently on the user's computer and are deleted when the browser is closed. They are strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers needed to allow for safe and efficient exploration of the site, avoiding the use of other potentially harmful computer techniques for users' browsing privacy.
- Persistent cookies: These remain stored on the user's hard drive until they expire or are deleted by the user/visitor. Through persistent cookies, visitors accessing the site (or other users using the same computer) are automatically recognized on each visit. Visitors can set their computer's browser to accept/reject all cookies or display a warning whenever a cookie is offered, allowing them to evaluate whether to accept it or not. Users can still modify the default configuration and disable cookies (i.e., block them permanently) by setting the highest protection level.
- Technical cookies: These are used to authenticate users, take advantage of multimedia content such as flash players, or allow the selection of a navigation language. Generally, it is not necessary to obtain the user's prior and informed consent. This category also includes cookies used to statistically analyze site visits if used exclusively for statistical purposes and through the collection of aggregated information.
- Profiling and marketing cookies: Their use on users' devices is prohibited unless users have first been properly informed and have provided valid consent through an opt-in method. These types of cookies can be further grouped based on their functions: a) Analytics: These cookies are used to collect and analyze statistical information regarding website visits. In some cases, they may be used to profile the user when combined with other information such as credentials entered to access restricted areas (e.g., email address and password). b) Widgets: These are all graphical components of a user interface that help users interact with the website, such as Facebook or Twitter cookies. c) Advertising: These cookies are used for advertising purposes within a website. Google and Tradedoubler fall into this category.
1.Technical cookies are used solely to "carry out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or as strictly necessary for the provider of a service explicitly requested by the user to provide that service" (see Art. 122, Paragraph 1, of the Privacy Code).
2.Technical cookies do not require the user's prior consent. They are used to enable the functioning of the website and/or provide a service or function expressly requested by the user. Therefore, they ensure normal navigation and use of the site, allowing users to save preferences and optimize navigation. The site uses both first-party and third-party technical cookies.
3.Technical cookies used or potentially used on this site include:
- User input cookies: session cookies used to track data provided by the user in online forms (e.g., during the purchase process for entering shipping or billing addresses) or, as in the case of shopping carts, to remember items selected by the user by clicking the appropriate button.
- Authentication cookies: cookies used to identify the user after login and enable authentication to access restricted content or functions (e.g., purchases, access to personal areas).
- Other functionality cookies: cookies that activate specific features of the site and store the user's preferences regarding how the site’s pages are displayed.
- Cookie Consent: a cookie that documents the user's consent to the installation of profiling cookies by performing one of the actions described in the banner/short notice. This cookie recognizes the user on the second visit to the site, so the consent for cookie installation will not be requested again, with a duration of 12 months.
1.Depending on their origin, cookies can be distinguished between those sent to the browser directly by the website being visited and those sent by third parties from other websites.
2.Permanent cookies are often third-party cookies. Most third-party cookies are tracking cookies used to understand users' online behavior, interests, and customize advertising proposals accordingly.
1.Analytical cookies are used to collect statistical information, aggregated or not, on the number of users accessing a service.
2.The analytical cookies used by the company are third-party cookies, as they are not directly managed by us but by third parties. Therefore, they are not installed directly by the company.
3.The platforms issuing these cookies include:
- Google Analytics:
Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en
Opt-out: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/optout?hl=en
4.Third-party analytics cookies are installed without the user’s prior consent because they are anonymized, as third parties cannot access disaggregated analytics data at the IP address level.
5.Users can block the installation of analytics cookies at any time without affecting their ability to visit the AG Group site or use its services. For more information, carefully read the cookie policies of third parties by following the links in the table above.
1.Profiling cookies create user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing the web.
2.Profiling cookies are used to create a user profile based on preferences and tastes expressed by the user during browsing, to display advertisements consistent with their profile. Thus, the ads displayed will be of greater interest to the user.
3.When these types of cookies are used, users must provide explicit consent, which will appear in the banner as soon as they enter the website.
4.The provisions of Article 22 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and Article 122 of the Data Protection Code, as well as Decision No. 231 of June 10, 2021, of the Italian Data Protection Authority, apply.

2.On any subsequent visit, by clicking on the "Cookie Policy" link at the bottom of the homepage, users can access this policy and refuse the installation of cookies.
3.Users can disable cookies based on the browser they use. Since most browsers are set to automatically accept cookies, users can choose not to receive them, especially when third-party providers have not provided the proper opt-out
